Hi everyone,
I know this has nothing to do with our class, but I am looking for a puppy, hopefully, a malumate, husky (or mix) or a malumate/wolf.
My malumate/wolf, Nikita, passed away, and I am looking for a puppy similar to her. She had one blue eye and one brown eye. She was beautiful. If any of you know where or knows someone I can either buy or adopt one of these fantastic critters, please, please let me know. It really breaks my heart I lost her.
Thank you so much for your time and I will be talking with you soon.
Sincerely,
Deborah White

A New Pedagogy?
Pedagogy will be in all of our classrooms not too far from now. Technology is being added slowly but it most certainly will be new to a lot of new students and teachers. My grandson, who is 10 years old, will surely be ahead of me in the very near future. It's the time for a new beginning, learning, teaching, and applying new technologies. Will Richardson had a lot of excellent information abour pedagogy. For example, he stated, "Technology has a profound impact on the way we live and the quality of our lives." This is so true.
Being a student at Yavapai College, not being a teacher, does not give me much of an advantage but it gives me the desire to keep learning and increase my knowledge in my field (Fine Arts). Everybody want to get a good grade as it gives us the motivation to continue learning new technologies and new experiences of knowledge. I like the Augmented Classroom, whereas I may have an opportunity to have contact with my instructor and with technology as well. It increases my effectiveness in learning with experts in the technological field.
Technology is concerned with the "designing aids and tools to perfect the mind plus go with the changes of pedagogy." I can see in my mind that if we really sought for a change in pedagogy, we are going to need to be patient. But, I'm willing to keep going on. In that way I can learn and become much better in the expertise of technology, one step at a time. OK by me! I feel I am very fortunate to know some of the basics of computer technology and I want to continue. Maybe I'll become a technology expert someday. Who knows?
As Will Richardson wrote in our handbook, "a transition of epistemology (knowledge) and ontology (being) suggests technology needs to be employed to serve in the development of learners capable of participating in a complex environment."

My Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is if a student really wants to excel and learn in a certain field, he or she can do so to achieve their goals by doing their best and learn from their teacher(s).
My goal is to become a proficient, well-rounded bass player and a professional musician with my bass guitar. My teacher is my husband, Richard. He learned the lead guitar by himself with no teacher to help him. It can be done. Richard is my teacher and my mentor in music. He taught me everything about the instrument, and I am now able to excel and play a tune without much help. Now, I can help my friends learn to play who are willing to learn and practice. Any person can become a teacher of music, and then it goes on and on down to other students who feel the same love for music as I do. It's my dream to become a teacher for someone who is really interested to learn the field of music. It's really exciting for me to pick up my guitar and see the look on people's faces when I play. It's a wonderful feeling. All you have to do is apply yourself.
My philosophy is any one person, who is willing, can be a teacher. I am. Anyone interested to learn?!
Teach and learn well my friends,
